Brendalyn Devon Curry was born on March 9th, 1948 in Jackson, TN to the late Virgie May Manley & Freddie B. Govan.
She attended Merry High school and graduated in 1966. She later attended Lane College where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice on September 11, 2010. She professed her love for Christ at an early age. Later became first Lady at Wade Chapel Baptist Church where she served faithfully.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Rev. David Curry on July 21st, 1968.
She was preceded in death by her mother Virgie Mae Manley and her father Freddie B. Govan and one sister Aquanetta Starks.
Brendalyn leaves to cherish her memory, her husband; Rev. David Curry; six children Marcus Curry, Maurio Curry, Marlon Curry, Jerry Curry, Maurice Curry and Terri Curry; one brother Charles Govan; three sisters, Francine Snowden, Jacqueline Greer. Eight sisters in law,8 brothers in law, fourteen grandchildren and 21 great grand children as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
