A beautiful baby girl soul gracefully entered this world on May 21, 1958, to the union of Willie Taylor, Sr. and Annie Mae Beard. They named her Frances Burnett Taylor. She was known to her family and friends as Burnett. Burnett gained her beautiful wings on July 25, 2024, at home. She was the most loving, helpful, caring, nurturing woman to her family and friends.
Burnett is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Taylor, Sr. and Annie Mae Beard; one son, Rickeem who was her “baby”; two brothers, Jerry Joy and Willie Taylor, Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Norleen Joy and Cynthia Taylor; three aunts, Joella Robinson, Josephine Wilks, and Lizzie Mae Taylor; two uncles, Earnest Lee Beard and Thomas Beard, Jr. and two very special friends, Pokey and Shay as she called them.
Burnett leaves to cherish her memory; her one and only daughter, Akena Thompson (Jonathan), a son, Roderick Taylor (Angie), and a lifelong partner, Ricky Gibson; eight very special grandkids, Emichicay, Cherisa, Jamonica (Jay), Jamiral (Jacori), Amyia, Roderick, Jr., Alyricka, and Davion whom she loved so much. Burnett also leaves one brother, Ozell Taylor; her nieces; Netarsha Joy, Tyronda Joy, Felicia Jones, Dereca Joy Tate, Vanessa Jones, Cherie Joy Stovall, April Donald and Ashley Hartfield; two nephews, Steve Joy and Tawain Joy; two aunts, Earline Manning and Alma Woods; her caregiver who she adored so much, Ms. Sheronda Jackson; a special person who she treated always as a part of the family and loved dearly, Jasmine Kidd and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
