Mr. Terrell Donta Fason, Sr., 44, was born October 3, 1976 in Jackson, Tennessee to Marilyn Lynn Fason and Tony Hopson. He departed this earth and transitioned to his heavenly eternal life on March 20, 2021.
At an early age, Terrell professed his faith at Historical First Baptist Church. As an adult, he recommitted his life to Christ at Love and Truth Church and continued his devotion to spiritual growth until his passing. His calming spirit was influential on his children, nieces, nephews, and little cousins, with whom he often spent time with as their favorite babysitter! Terrell loved his family whole-heartedly and loved family gatherings. He shared an incredible bond with his very special aunts, Bertha Fowler and Virginia Fason.
Terrell graduated from Jackson Central Merry High School in Jackson, TN where he met many of his lifelong friends and his love for sports began. He was an avid sports fanatic and some of his favorite teams included the Pittsburgh Steelers, Boston Celtics, and his favorite college team, the Tennessee Vols! He also enjoyed spending his spare time watching his son, Terrell, Jr., play football and baseball.
Terrell was preceded in death by his grandmother, Melvia P. Fason, uncle Richard Lee Fason, and brother Brian Edmond Fason.
He is survived by his mother and father, Marilyn Fason and Tony Hopson; his close friend and mother of his children, Candace Chatman; paternal grandmother Lurine Pearman; his son and daughter, Terrell Donta Fason, Jr. and Brikell Kayceon Fason; sisters Kina Fason-Hardy (Sidney), Latasha Hopson, and Felicia Avery; brother Darcy Hopson; ten uncles, especially including Edward Fason (Tina), Robert Fason, and Calvin Fason; seven aunts, including his maternal aunts Bertha Fowler and Virginia Fason. He also leaves to cherish his memory nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
